Styling your hair after hair restoration

Are you a woman? Have you recently had a hair restoration surgery, or planning on having a hair transplantation procedure? The Day of my Bosley Hair Restoration Procedure

Hi Folks, It's Seth again. I'm not writing to tell you about the results of my Bosley hair restoration procedure, that's Torrance's job now. Instead I'm writing to let you know that I've posted more video from my Bosley hair restoration procedure. This time I posted the first few video episodes filmed during the morning of my actual hair restoration procedure. Before being prepped for the surgery by the Bosley nurses I had a consultation with the doctor who'd be performing my procedure, Dr. Winans. During the consultation Dr. Winans detailed the whole procedure for me and set my expectations for months to come. You can view the first two episodes embedded below.

Follicle Five - Hair loss treatment results at six months

Earlier this week I blogged about the five most popular treatments for hair loss and the Dateline NBC special, The Follicle Five, which put the five treatments to the test. If you don't remember or haven't seen it, the Dateline special tested Propecia, Minoxidil, Viviscal, the Laser Comb and Hair Transplantation Surgery, separately, on five male volunteers. Six months after their treatments, each male subject had his head analyzed by a doctor to determine which of the five hair loss treatments worked the best. Below you'll find the results episode, which aired six months after the test began.

I think you'll agree that the results of the Dateline hair loss treatments test aren't very surprising, rather merely reassuring for those of you already considering hair restoration.

The Follicle Five - Which hair loss treatments work best?

With all the options available for treating hair loss, the only lingering question among the follicular challenged is which hair loss treatment works the best. I venture to guess the majority of men battling baldness know the five popular (Hair Restoration Surgery, Propecia, Viviscal, Laser Comb and  Minoxidil). However, what many of us don't know is which hair loss treatment works best; this isn't an easy question to answer, mostly because the implications of individual hair loss treatments differ based on factors including time, price, commitment and potential side effects. 

There's no question that a lot of the hair loss solutions from above will yield some sort of positive result, which varies from person-to-person. In an effort to give the most comprehensive comparison of the options for stopping and preventing hair loss, as well as regrowing already lost hair, Dateline NBC put the Follicle Five to the test. After  a quick search on YouTube I was able to track down NBC's featured hair loss story, which you can check out below in two parts. I will follow up later with the hair restoration results episode which aired six months later.

Hair Loss, Hair Restoration, and Me on the Big Idea with Donny Deutsch

In case you missed it, I've uploaded the footage from my appearance on the Big Idea with Donny Deutsch to YouTube. Seeing myself on the Big Idea is unbelievable. When I got my Bosley Hair Transplantation, I never imagined to be featured on national television.

For those of you unaware, I appeared on CNBC's The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch as part of the show's story on hair loss and hair restoration.

I found this great news segment on female hair loss and hair restoration for women. The video features a woman who underwent a hair restoration surgery and then details her results. In addition, the interviewer provides a lot of insight into the impact female baldness has on women.

Final episode of my Bosley Consultation

Here is the last episode from my Bosley consultation. Looking back, it's probably my favorite, because Anthony (my Bosley consultant) showed me pictures from his Bosley hair transplantation. At that time, seeing Anthony's results was really reassuring as was the simple fact that he actually underwent a hair restoration procedure himself.

This is the 5th episode from my Bosley Hair Restoration Consultation. It's a little long at close to six minutes. In the video, my consultant (Anthony) answers a lot of the more challenging questions hair restoration patients typically have.

First batch of hair restoration videos

I'm happy to announce that we are now starting to publish our hair restoration videos, filmed before, during, and after I received my Bosley Hair Restoration Procedure. Right now we have three short videos edited, all of which are from my Bosley Hair Restoration Consultation.

If you're not familiar with the Hair Restoration Procedure, the consultation is the first step you go through. Once an appointment is made you meet with a counselor who details the whole process for you and helps in setting the goals and expectations for your particular hair restoration procedure. My counselor's name is Anthony, and still, 4 months after my Bosley procedure I continue to chat with him regularly.  Anthony is also a Bosley client who underwent the procedure,  which was very comforting for me.
