About Torrance's Battle Against Bald

Torrance is the newest Battle Against Bald blogger. After Seth’s hair restoration results topped off Torrance was brought in to carry on the Battle Against Bald legacy by sharing his Bosley hair restoration results with the world. Here is Torrance’s story:

Hello, my name is Torrance and I am 32 years old and I have been making films, commercials, and television shows for the last five years. In 2001, I played professional basketball in Vienna, Austria. I come from a very athletic family and have been fortunate enough to continue with my passion for athletics by playing in a football league, doing Bikram’s yoga, and a little lifting at the gym while I lived in Vancouver. If I truly assess my whole life the only thing that is really missing in the equation is my hair…I’ve been losing it for the last 10 years. There is no other way to put it other then it SUCKS! It took the youth right out from underneath me and made me feel like a much older man. Again, like most I feel young, I think I look young but when I take my hat off, the person in the mirror appears much older than he is. So for the last 10 years I have had the chance to experience every type of solution known to man. Yes, I dipped into every lotion, potion and did the unthinkable and went to HAIR CLUB for MEN. At first everything seemed great, you have a full head of hair, your confidence is back, you look good but then reality sets in, you have a toupee on. It’s not your hair, it’s a freaking rug glued to your head. The problems and the countless hours it takes to manage it were grueling to say the least. I was so uptight about someone finding out that I had a toupee on; it became worse than being bald. Anyways, the toupee at first was a huge lift to my ego (I instantly had hair) but the draw back is you can’t necessarily have a hat on for a year then all of sudden take your hat off and have a full head of hair and think your going to get away with it. People noticed and the look was generally off. You are not supposed to have that much hair anyways, it doesn’t look natural. The everyday maintenance, the constant thought of what if someone could see right through to the scalp…it was a challenge and a lot of work, pressure and stress. You can see my photo from my days using HAIR CLUB for MEN.  My heart never gave up looking for a true solution; I’ve always believed there would be another way to restore my hairline, so I came across Bosley.

Since discovering I could re-grow my own hair with a simple surgery, I pondered the thought for months, did the research and made the decision to go for it. So I did, I am in the 48th day of my first procedure and feel great about the decsion I’ve made. I still don’t have any hair, so nothing has changed but I am excited about the possibilities, only time will tell. Bosely in my opinion is the most straightforward way to restore your own hair. I know I am not going to have the same hairline that I once had but my hairline will be restored in a very natural way that is mine. I am not trying to look 18 years old again but rather my age, 32! The Bosley procedure has been proven to work and the hair definitely re-grows, that is a guarantee, now how much of it grows or how it looks all depends. So all I can do is tell you how I feel and wait to see the hair grow. I have decided to share my story with you, so I can better understand the process and we can see together when and how my hair grows in. It’s exciting for me because I have been wearing a hat every day since August 1st, 2006, that was the last time I shaved my head. The best way to describe the procedure is that they take a portion of hair from the back of your head, spread each follicle apart and basically replant each hair individually into your scalp. They say after about three months the follicles will start to grow. It really is that easy, it takes at least one full day to recover and in my case a couple of days to feel like you again. But I feel great after almost a month and half I am genuinely excited about the outcome Bosley will have on my life.

Every day is one more day closer to having some locks…let’s see.

Cheers,
Torrance
