UCSF Dermatologists Write Book on Hair Loss Disorders

It probably won’t make the NY Times best seller list, or be recommended by Oprah’s Book Club, but a new book by a team of dermatologist at UC San Francisco is shedding some light on rare hair loss disorders.

After seeing patients struggle with a rare and difficult to diagnose set of hair loss disorders, the team at UCSF decided to write a book aimed at helping doctors recognize and manage the problem.

As with any medical condition, the more knowledge and research that is shared among doctors, the more likely patients are to receive appropriate, successful treatments.
