Seth's Two-Week Anniversary

OK, it’s officially been two weeks since my hair restoration procedure (a milestone that has less importance this time around, but still).  Here’s what’s going on:

  1. My transplanted hair is, as expected, starting to fall out.
  2. All of the crusts and my few scabs are gone; they have actually been gone since about last Friday (or 9 days after the procedure).
  3. The itching is basically gone, although there are still little itches now and then on my scalp and also along my suture line.
  4. My scalp is still a bit sensitive, my suture line is still a little sore, and the area of my head between the suture and the transplant area is still surprisingly numb.  Oddly, it’s a bit more numb on the left side than the right.

So now I start the “long wait” period.  I know that in about 3 months the hair will start to regrow, at 6 months I will see a significant increase in hair, and by 9 months to a year I will see the full results of my restoration.  Of course, I’ll be blogging every step of the way, so stay tuned!

-Seth
