Seth's Two-Week Anniversary
OK, it’s officially been two weeks since my hair restoration
procedure (a milestone that has less importance this time around, but
still). Here’s what’s going on:
- My
transplanted hair is, as expected, starting to fall out.
- All
of the crusts and my few scabs are gone; they have actually been gone
since about last Friday (or 9 days after the procedure).
- The
itching is basically gone, although there are still little itches now and
then on my scalp and also along my suture line.
- My
scalp is still a bit sensitive, my suture line is still a little sore, and
the area of my head between the suture and the transplant area is still
surprisingly numb. Oddly,
it’s a bit more numb on the left side than the right.
So now I start the “long wait” period. I know that in about 3 months the hair will start to regrow, at 6 months I will see a significant increase in hair, and by 9 months to a year I will see the full results of my restoration. Of course, I’ll be blogging every step of the way, so stay tuned!
