U.S. Patent #4022227: The combover
Before you comb that hair over your bald spot, you better pay up. That's right, the combover is patented and the "original idea" belongs to Frank and Donald Smith of Orlando, Florida, as of December 23, 1975. The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) defines U.S. Patent #4022227 as "a method of styling hair to cover partial baldness using only the hair on a person's head." Furthermore, the USPTO offers brief direction: "The hair styling requires dividing a person's hair into three sections and carefully folding one section over another." The patent is a rather lengthy document that describes the background of the combover and alternative methods with which you could achieve a proper combover.

They can't make you pay for combing your hair, don't worry. A combover cannot be patented as it is not for sale and the elements needed for a combover (a crown of side hair, at least) belongs to the respective owners body. And they can dispose their body the way they prefer. I think this is the costitution.
