Alopecia onset by a toothache?
Here's a quick bit about a recent discovery in the hair loss world:
A study conducted by professors Josè Antonio Gil Montoya and Antonio Cutando Soriano, of the Department of Stomatology at the University of Granada, shows that there may be a connection between hair loss and oral health. According to the research, hair loss caused by a tooth infection is not isolated to the scalp, and typically appears on a line projected from the infection. They believe that when the immune system attempts to fight the tooth infection, it mistakingly attacks hair follicles, causing the hair to fall out.
We'll update you when we get more information.
