Let's hear your story...

We do a lot of talking here on Battle Against Bald, so we're gonna take this opportunity to listen to what you have to say.  Write in and tell us your hair loss story, your experience with any hair loss products or treatments, or your opinions on any hair loss topics.  It's important to keep that feeling of community going because there are so many of you going through the same problems with hair loss.  There's no better way to learn more about your condition and how you can treat it than to talk to other's like you.

So write us!  Either email your story, opinions or questions to battleagainstbald@gmail.com or leave a comment to this post.

Hope to hear from all of you soon!

Sincerely,

Torrance

Dan

I'm 24 and have advanced hair loss. My hair has been receding at the temples since i was 19 - right now the middle tuft is translucent and almost gone. Most of the time I can get over this and be my normal self, but last night not so much.

I went to a bar with a few of my friends, including a 20 year old girl that I like and her friend. I went on to the dance floor with the one that I like and things went pretty well, but then she pointed to her friend and said "make her come out here." As I was a bit drunk, I felt I could accomplish anything so I tried. When I went over there, she said "Do you like #####?" I nodded yes, but put my finger above my lips to shush her. She asked how old I was. "24" I said. "Oh really? I didn't know because of your hair," she said, patting it. That sobered me up a bit; I said "That's my genes I guess."

So I went back to talking to #####. I'm pretty good at making her laugh and have a good time. Later on, we were all outside and I was leaning on a pole to keep up, the friend comes over and is like "I told her you liked her." "why did you do that!?" i said. "she only likes you as a friend."

Now, I suppose I can't tell what goes on inside a girl's head, but I'm pretty good at telling if I have a chance with a girl or not. I'm very charming and confident, so long as I forget about my hair. If I looked like a 24 year old, I would have the complete package, and she would have no reason to not like me. It's possible for youn bald guys to get girls, but we have to try alot harder - i want to emphasize ALOT - than our follicled brethren.

Ah, I just needed to blow off some steam.
