Caffeine spray to stop thinning hair
A new spray made from coffee bean extracts is said to stop women's hair thinning, according to Boots, the company that developed the treatment. It contains antioxidants, centella asiatica, and an extract from green coffee beans imported from Central America. It is expected to encourage growth by stimulating the roots, preventing age-related hair loss and increasing the thickness and health of each strand of hair. The solution soothes the scalp, reducing inflammation that could lead to damaged hair follicles.
The spray was reportedly tested at Glasgow University with 80 percent positive feedback. 75 percent of those who tested the product claimed that they lost less hair when they combed or brushed their hair.
The product is targeted at women, but the company says that it would also work for men. They have received approval to sell the spray after presenting officials with the results of their independent trials; it will be available in the UK sometime this month.
