« Q: How long can one expect to be out of work for after having a hair transplant? | Main | Q: How long until you can resume normal activity after a hair transplant? »

Q: Does the number of grafts transplanted impact how your head looks during the first few weeks?

The number of grafts transplanted will, to some extent, impact how your head looks after the hair restoration procedure. However  if you have a lot of grafts transplanted, a larger area of your head will be affected.  In terms of time, you can expect moderate amounts of scabbing and peeling to occur for about two weeks after the procedure. I had 1,900 grafts, which is a large number of transplants for a single session. If you don't remember, here's what my head looked like 8 days after my hair transplant.

Thanks for your questions. Keep 'em coming.
