Eyelash Transplants
In what is being considered the next "big thing" in the world of cosmetic surgery, Eyelash Transplants are making heads turn all over the country, literally. If you thought eyebrow restoration was extreme, eyelash transplants take the concept of hair transplantation surgery to a whole new level.
Eyelash Transplantation were first performed on patients who had suffered burns or congenital malformations to their eyes. After word spread about the medical advancement, 80 percent are now done for cosmetic reasons. How does it work you ask. Well, much like hair transplantation surgeries, hair follicles are removed from the back of the head (only about 30-40) and then sewn one-by-one into the patients eyelids.
Ouch! That sounds painful, even though it might not be. The simple fact that eyelash transplants are even a possiblity today, just shows how far the hair transplantation industry has gotten. What's next? Sometimes I wish I could grow facial hair like AJ from the Backstreet Boys. I wonder if Bosley can help me with that.

The eyelash transplantation procedure was probably more comfortable than your hair transplant. During eyelash transplant procedures, we use computerized local anesthesia after local anesthetic gel. This combination delivers the numbness without the 'ouch' -- even into the eyelid area. If you watch the video of the eyelash transplant you will see the female patient (30 yrs old) very comfortably undergoing the procedure. Good luck with your hair transplant.
