Longest Hair in the World
Once the results of my Bosley hair restoration procedure have fully materialized, I will once again have the option of considering a new hair style. Thinking back on my days with long hair, I started to wonder how long one could grow one's hair.
Well according to the Guinness book of World Records, the world's longest documented hair belongs to Xie Qiuping (China) at 5.627 m (18 ft 5.54 in) when measured on 8 May 2004. She has been growing her hair since 1973 from the age of 13. Now that's long.
However, Xie Qiuping might not have the record for much longer. Unofficially Tran Van Hay of Vietnam is the record holder at 6.2 meters. Tran Van Hay (See pic below) is still waiting to have the world record authenticated. Tran Van Hay has not cut his hair in 31 years, and is hoping to take over the spot of having the longest hair in the world.
Maybe there should be a Guinness record for the longest documented hair after a hair restoration procedure. I'm pretty sure I could win that one. Or maybe I'll just keep my hair short.
